Gardening (Part 3)

Gardening (Part 3)

We have been able to watch plants grow and mature over the summer, which has been delightful — one of the joys of a new property. There is lots to be thankful for, in terms of the efforts of the previous owners of this property. They planted so that things would be blooming all season.

They were particularly fond of hydrangeas, and it’s not hard to see why.

There have been some other pleasant surprises. We have one lilac bush, which has bloomed for a second time – just the new growth. The strawberry patch was quite prolific. There are so many daisies and lupines. And the red currants were totally unexpected.

We can take no credit for any of this. We are enjoying it, and will be doing our best not to screw it up.

  1. Hi Jennifer,
Monica Bennett has sent me this blog post. She and I walked earlier this week, and I told her I had been thinking about you and Les. Sounds to me like you two are really enjoying yourselves. What a beautiful spot you have there.
